CBD OIL: WHEN AND HOW?

Available over the counter in all pharmacies and drugstores, or even in supermarkets, they can be very useful to fill nutritional deficiencies. But be careful to use it well.

In theory, the diet - if it is varied and balanced - should be sufficient to meet our nutrient needs. But it is not so easy to respect the famous "5 fruits and vegetables per day" with which everything would be filled. In fact, nearly 1/3 of women and 1/5 of men have at least one nutritional deficiency. The most frequent being those in iron and magnesium. As for weight-loss diets or particular dietary patterns (vegetarianism, veganism, orthorexia syndrome, etc.), they can also cause deficiencies to be regulated.

If they do not exempt from eating as healthily as possible, food supplements can provide a punctual response by providing a small amount of a substance that is missing in our body. For example, we can think of iron supplementation in case of heavy periods. Magnesium and/or vitamin C can be effective in times of stress (exams, changes in habits, etc.) or if a state of fatigue is felt.

The case of vitamins

If trace elements are frequently deficient, it is not much better for vitamins. In winter, nearly 80% of the French population lacks vitamin D, and diet alone often fails to solve the problem. Those in groups A and E are also often deficient because they are present in fatty foods that we tend to boycott.

What precautions should be taken?

Although they are over the counter, dietary supplements are not to be taken lightly. As you would for a drug, it is advisable to respect the dosage and the duration of treatment prescribed by your specialist or recommended by the brand marketing them. Likewise, it is better to avoid mixtures in order to eliminate any risk of overdose or interaction (with other food supplements, or even with drugs). Beware of self-medication, ask your doctor or pharmacist for their opinion if in doubt, even if large interactions are often indicated.

When to take food supplements?

As we have seen, they are used on an ad hoc basis to meet a specific need. Regarding the frequency of hair loss. taken, rely on the instructions on the leaflet of your CBD oil supplements. Note, however, that it is advisable to take the vitamins during or just after a meal. Liposoluble, they will be better assimilated if they are in contact with a fatty element in the stomach. The absorption of minerals and trace elements is sometimes more delicate. For example, tea tends to negate the action of iron, while vitamin C boosts it.
